Julian Gargiulo, Piano “Getting to Carnegie Hall” Cello Competition Finals

Two years ago, Steinway Artist Julian Gargiulo tried an experiment: he invited violinists from international conservatories to compete for a place on stage at Carnegie Hall with him. After a sold-out event, the composer has invited cellists to compete this year. To participate, musicians must record a video of themselves performing, and the four chosen will join Julian onstage to each perform a movement of his Cello Sonata. This will be the premiere of the Cello Sonata, and the audience will vote live for the winner.
